Car Seat Safety

The goal of this video was to reinforce the basics of car seat safety for all ages of young children. Providing guidance at a general level--rather than the specifics of each type of seat--was intended to help teach the bigger concepts around age and general saafety guidelines.

Stroke Symptoms
For Stroke Risk videos I partnered with one of our animators to create a combined video style that used icons from our print instructions and a sketch-style animation. The sketch style allowed us to show what stroke symptoms might look without the distraction of a live-action actor pretending to have symptoms. The clear graphics help reinforce the learning objectives.

Mindfulness for Teens

As part of a project to expand our mental health content, we created a video to teach mindfulness to teens. We knew that this tough audience has been over-exposed to mental health content, so we took a slightly humorous approach that also taught how it could be done during daily activities.

Healthy Eating Videos
Food and nutrition are tricky subjects to represent visually. For our healthy eating videos we took a graphic-heavy approach to provide ideas for what is healthy to eat. We also strived to rarely include what *not* to eat, thereby making the content more clear and actionable. These videos were part of a larger effort to update all of our nutrition videos to be clinically accurate and visually consistent.

Nicotine Cessation Videos
Videos targeted all users of nicotine products, including vaping and chewing tobacco. User testing helped identify ways to discuss the subject that felt inclusive of the various products available.

Diabetes Videos
Covering everything from insulin, testing blood sugar, and lifestyle changes, we updated our diabetes library to be appealing, modern, and credible. Making strategic decisions about when to use costly animation and when to use stock video, we bridged styles using a combination of motion graphics and character animation to make the videos feel connected.

How to Prevent
Shaken Baby Syndrome
For our baby safety videos, we developed a style that is calming, soothing, and slightly abstract. We relied on text on screen to convey important messages about the care and safety of baby by caregivers.
